o2olap is currently considering the following legal action.
- o2olap believe a large company within the OLAP arena hacked o2olap servers in late
2003 by gaining access to the operating system via a weakness in the operating system.
This was directly witnessed by an employee of o2olap and the IP address was traced
directly back to the relevant company. This attempt came after numerous attempts of trying to acquire o2olap's intellectual
property under a number of guises. The company has been informed of the incident
but have failed to respond to the allegation.
o2olap confirm that no legal action will be taken against the following company
- o2olap became aware in 2003 that one of the largest companies in the OLAP arena
had an illegal copy of "o2olap for Excel". The software was acquired by an employee
of the company under dubious pretences. The employee was tracked down to the OLAP
company and the companies legal department was contacted. The matter was dealt with in a professional and satisfactory manner.
