is the ability for users to model for non-unique dimension members within Excel.
This is an immense step forward as currently no other recommended Excel based product
for Analysis Services, and in the OLAP world, can do this. The significance to users
is that they can map directly onto data stores without having to translate data
to a unique position as is the case with most of the OLAP products that use Excel
modelling functionality. When inputting data this is also input to the correct area.
Modelling within Excel is simple, extremely flexible, efficient and extends OLAP
functionality, to provide the speed users need for reporting today. We do a lot
more within an Excel OLAP environment than any other OLAP product on the market.
The difference being this is within a Microsoft Analysis Services (OLAP) environment.
